Our mission
Remarkable Community Development exists to serve and strengthen the North and South Huntsville community through outreach, education, and empowerment. We are committed to providing safe spaces for youth service programs, education, food assistance, and intergenerational support programs. Guided by Christian values, our mission is to uplift vulnerable populations, foster hope, and promote lasting community impact.
who we are
Remarkable Community Development is a nonprofit outreach organization located in Huntsville, Alabama. As a community-driven organization, we exist to serve marginalized and underserved populations through programs that promote safety, education, wellness, and generational empowerment. Our work is grounded in Christian values, with a commitment to uplifting families through tangible support and long-term impact.
what we do
We support programming that provide:
- Childcare and early education support
- Senior services and outreach
- Food distribution and family resource programs
- Community forums, civic engagement, and youth development
- Support to local public school educators and families
- Crisis response support during local emergencies and natural disasters
We serve all communities, with special interest and emphasis on minority communities of African American, Hispanic and Latino populations. Our programs are designed to be inclusive, accessible, and centered on dignity and empowerment.
why we exist
We are passionate about our communities having access to resources and programming that progress, enrich and secure the present, and future, well-being of families and individuals within the community to continually thrive. Our presence in a historically under-served , high-risk area, increases our responsibility to provide not just services—but also security, stability, and sanctuary. And to exist in an effort to eliminate barriers to accessing care, community and hope.
