Rev. mingle fletcher

1925-1946

In September of 1925, the Reverend Mingle Fletcher conducted a revival in the Old Penny Schoolhouse which is now known as the Penny Cemetery. Reverend Fletcher would later be appointed as the first Pastor.

rev. amos donaldson

1946-1979

Rev. Amos Donaldson became the Pastor in 1946. In 1950, additional land was secured for the church and the second sanctuary which was built of cement block was erected under his leadership. He served in the capacity of Pastor for thirty-three years. During Reverend Donaldson’s tenure, the church increased its membership, experienced spiritual growth, and another sanctuary was erected in 1972. 

rev. john clay

1979-2015

Reverend John L. Clay was elected as the seventh Pastor in December 1979. Under Rev. Clay’s leadership, the church purchased additional land, church vans, added education and fellowship wings, additional auxiliaries, and a church secretary was hired. St. Mark experienced an abundance of spiritual and physical growth. Rev. Clay is the founding President of Huntsville Bible College. Rev. Clay retired after 35 years of faithful service and was bestowed the honor of pastor emeritus.

rev. jeremiah chester

2015 - Current

Reverend Jeremiah Chester was called as the eighth Pastor. He has focused on wholistic discipleship through Connecting, Growing, and Serving. Under his leadership, multiple full-time staff positions have been added to serve the growing membership.
